T'was 3 weeks ago today when I ordered this purse at nomorerack. It was my first purchased at their store and I was confident that I will receive the item in less than a week or two. I kept on waiting and waiting, I finally received a shipping confirmation number but it took a few more weeks for it to arrive at my destination. I was going to order again before my purchased arrived but I thought might as well wait for my first purchased yet before ordering another item. I just want to make sure that they’re not scam or whatsoever. Anyway, here it is and I love the tote bag. I saved $30 from this bag and I only paid $2 for the shipping fee. Pretty good deal huh? Now, I have to check their website again and see if I find something I like, I will no doubt order again at least I know that even though it takes forever sometimes but it’ll still be delivered at my door the least I expect.

Transfer To Beverly Hills

My sister is moving to Beverly Hills next week, and I am so excited for her. She was promoted to manager of her store here in Atlanta, and now they want her to move to Beverly Hills to take over for another manager who was fired. I know she has always wanted to leave Atlanta, so I’m trying to be happy for her, but I’m going to miss her a lot. I’m driving with her cross-country so that she doesn’t have to make the trip alone. We live in Atlanta now, so it’s going to be a long ride. Once we get there I’m going to stay for about a week since I’ve never been to California and I’m sure she’ll need the help. I’m sure I’ll have to help with boring things like setting up her clear wireless Beverly Hills, but after that is all done we’re planning on painting the town red. I’d like to check out some of the cool Los Angeles Club scene and maybe drive down to San Diego for a day. I just hope we get everything done quickly so I can have some fun while I’m out there.

When the weather is cold and wet we love to eat any kinds of soup. Well, my husband and I drove to the Seafood City to get some ingredients for lumpia. While we were there, we thought of grabbing some ingredients for our dinner. My husband thought “tinola-chicken soup” would be perfect. So, I prepared it and the above photo is what I came up with. It’s good and my husband loves it. He brought some for his lunch at work. I also fried some tempura, it was yummy. It’s been awhile that I haven’t eaten this kind of appetizer. It was definitely a worth trip to the store.

I spoke to my former classmates earlier and he/she asked when I am going back to the Philippines to see them. I told them I have plans for 2013 and since I don’t have tickets and US passport yet it’s not confirmed. One thing that they mentioned to me is the gifts. They’re expecting something from me and I have no idea on what gifts I can give them. I think I’ll have to start shopping at my favorite online store at nomorerack. They have all kinds of FREE stuff and I might take them all. I heard humors about nomorerack scam and I don’t think these people know what they are talking about.

We finally were able to process our taxes and we’re now waiting for our refund. This is going to be exciting for all of us. We have plans and hopefully everything will fall into places smoothly and stress free. We are happy and satisfied with our tax preparer because she is so honest to us and she gave us all the possible extra refund that we can get which is really great. After our discussion about our taxes, she kind of asked us if we have plans in buying a home. She said that the mortgage rate has gone down and said we are qualified in purchasing our dream house.

We thought about it for awhile now but we kind of put it on hold because we want to focus on our priority right now which is paying-off our van. I must say that we have breathing room financially but we want to make sure that everything is well-planned before we purchase a house. I have to get a job to help my husband pay for all our bills including the insurance plan that we may have. She totally understands us, and said if we need a financial assistance to buy a home we can count on the financial services they are offering for. Cool!

We seldom come into this park because it’s a little farther from our home. But at the time my husband suggested me to take the kids into this park after I dropped him off to work. I drove there and my children had a blast. They loved it and they couldn’t get enough of it that they had to whine when I told them we’re leaving. This park is huge and most of the people come to this park for picnic. It’s not only spacious park but there also all kinds of rides and play activities from all ages.

First of all, I love Walgreens when it comes to photoprints because they have the best prints compare to Walmart and CVS. They also give amazing discounts and FREE photopints. Anyway, I’ve never tried purchasing any prescription at their pharmacy yet but I would like to join in their Walgreens Prescription Savings Club, they have this January promotion which is the $5 individual annual membership fee and $10 for the entire family and that’s for the whole year where we can get savings from 8,000 brand-names medications and 400 from all generics. This is really something that we should take advantage for because after the promotion it will go back to its regular annual membership fee which is $20 for individual and $35 for a family. Unfortunately, bad news to those patients who are under the Express Scripts plan, Walgreens and Express Script are no longer part as a team. The contract ended a month ago and many patients were affected by this change. The Express Script didn’t work with the Walgreens negotiations, which is very sad because it’ll caused hazards to some of the Walgreens patients/customers for they have to find pharmacies within the Express Scripts network. Some of the patients have to travel afar just to get their prescriptions where they could’ve just gone to Walgreens, they find it so inconvenient. This made the patients very unhappy towards their provider (Express Scripts). Gladly, the Walgreens has a program that will allow patients and customers to still be able to avail the discounts and savings from their prescription purchase. This is really good news and lets all support the Walgreens endeavors because it’s beneficial for all of us. We’ve been thinking about ways to save money at home and it’s been harder than you would imagine. There’s something to be said for keeping track of everything you spend because at the end of the day it’s those 10 and 20 dollar bills flying out of your wallet that really add up, you know what I mean? I love that there are so many different ways to shave costs and from our hOmE sEcUrItY SyStem to our cable I’ve been asking all our providers about solutions that may be more cost effective for us. I’ve actually started taking our trash to the dump instead of having it picked up and that’s saving us about $400 a year…also, I’ve been selling some of our old stuff on Ebay to make some extra cash and I’ve just about got enough for a great honeymoon present for our daughter! I can’t wait to tell my husband about all my efforts because as far as he knows we haven’t really been able to save anything!

Accident and traffic goes together

We were on our way to National City this morning when we got stuck in the traffic. It was a little bit scary because we were trying to beat the time that we have left because my husband has to go to work. He doesn’t want to call and sick, so we had to hurry and get into our destination. He squeezes into the emergency lane just to be able to go through and people were crazy. We thought there must be accident ahead that causes the bumper-to-bumper traffic. Sure enough, there were accidents and there were plenty of police cars and even the local TV news was there for their headline coverage. As soon as we passed the accident, the traffic ran smoothly and it was sighing moment right there. I hate traffic!

I love watching informative shows like The Doctors. They always give us relevant information about lifestyle. Their major concerns were health; they thought me how to make a better person and how to choose a healthier lifestyle. They talk almost every issues and improvements about a person. If you are here in America, your most likely have had seen the show. The hosts of the show were real doctors and they were OB-Gyne, cosmetic and surgical doctors. I finally was able to declutter my closet a few days ago. It was pain in the butt seeing my shoes all over the closet. I thought putting them inside the box would be a great idea. I bought 3 big containers for my shoes and it was perfect. I believe I have 20 pairs of shoes or more and my husband envied me because I have a lot of shoes and he only has a few pair of dress shoes, sneakers and work shoe. I have to get him another pair of dress shoes someday. My closet looks nice, neat, tidy and headache-free now. Decluttering my stuff makes a big difference.

He’s eager to learn

My brother-in-law works for the Philippines government as a soldier. He was given the opportunity to take the Computer Training course and he took advantage of it. He loves to learn and he is an open minded person. Earning a certificate from that training course helped his career. Now that he has the computer knowledge, he was assigned to work in an office. My sister was so happy because she won’t be worrying too much about her husband’s job. Any wife of a soldier would normally be fearful for their husband’s life if they’re assigned in the battle-field to combat against terrorism.

The life of a soldier can be terrifying sometimes and I can understand why sometimes my sister gets scared every time her husband goes to work. The fact that my brother-in-law worked so hard to earn his computer training certificate, it definitely gave peacefulness to my sister’s family. Even though my brother-in-law is assigned in the field once in awhile, he is still fortunate because he works in the office most of the time. Hopefully time will come that he’ll decide to resign for his job being a soldier and focus on becoming an IT professional because there is more future being an IT.

Well, everyone has their own opinion and they are entitled to it and I have my own opinion too, which I am entitled to it as well. Well, it wouldn’t be fair if I will base and judge the person by what the other person had to say because there’s always two side of the story and I haven’t heard anything from Piolo’s side of the story yet. But anyway, many Filipinos believed that Piolo is gay and seems like no woman can ever fulfill his needs when it comes to intimacy because he can’t find it to the opposite sex. In KC’s interview, she said something like “there are basic things that a girlfriend is looking for her boyfriend but she can’t seem to get it from him” (whatever that is), which made her so confused. Most of the celebrities comments I’ve heard about this couple’s break-up, they sounded like they were all agreeing about the fact that Piolo must be gay. Well, it’s up to you to judge….

Babysitter Disney

My oldest daughter loves to watch the Disney channel. Since she is only eight, I try to limit the amount of television that she watches because all of these parenting books really discourage allowing children to watch TV. This “limited TV” rule was easy to follow with my first child. At that point, I was not working, I lived in a new subdivision, and there were lots of young mothers to socialize with. I used my time with my daughter to teach her these early lessons through play and exploration. We would go for nature walks through the woods, draw the alphabet in shaving cream on the kitchen table, and do household chores together. I didn’t need to rely on the TV to teach her these lessons or to keep her entertained. All of this changed once I had another child! In an instant, I found myself juggling a new baby, a part-time teaching job, and a 3-year old who could not entertain herself! In between the endless hours of feeding, changing, and soothing a fussy newborn, my oldest child found herself forced in front of the TV just so I could manage two children at once. Thankfully, TVByDirect carried all of the great cartoons and kids’ programs that my daughter enjoyed. It sure made my life a bit more peaceful during those first few months of life with 2 children!

That’s me back then; I was pregnant with my second child who is now 2 years old. I think I was just 5 months pregnant from that photo. I was huge during my last pregnancy, I had to buy plus size maternity clothes because the maternity clothes that were given to me by my friend were getting tighter already. Many of my friends thought I’m having a twin, that’s how big I was. I can barely walk because my foot hurts as well as my lower back. Whenever we go shopping, I had to ride on the mobile cart to take me around the store. It was embarrassing but what can I do? I gotta do what I gotta do, you know what I mean?

Aside from the complications I had with my last pregnancy, gaining so much weight was probably one of the major reasons why I don’t want to get pregnant again. Speaking about complications, there were times when I had to cry from excruciating pain. I was actually taking all kinds of medication. My supposedly baby shower party was given to me a month after my daughter was born. I had to cancel my baby shower party because I could not get up on my bed at the time. It was such a great relief after my daughter was born and seeing her healthy and normal despite of the medications I took.

We went to SeaWorld San Diego the other day and because it’s the holiday season, they have plenty of huge/gigantic Christmas decoration all over the place. It was fascinating to see a huge Christmas tree and a huge Christmas ball. Well, we weren’t there for these huge Christmas stuff but we were there for the SnowWorld. Early snow fun for us….

I went to my favorite clothing store this morning because a friend of mine asked me some favor to take pictures of the jackets and coats that are on sale because she wants to buy one. Oh boy! There were all kinds of clothes that were newly displayed and most of them were Christmas clothing, from infants to adults. One thing that caught my attention was their cute and sexy christmas lingerie similar to the photo above, it’ll be saleable for sure and I bet many ladies will purchase it. We don’t celebrate Christmas for religious reasons but I know how to appreciate fashion and stylish clothing with Christmas theme in it.

Anyway, I already posted those photos in my Facebook page and hopefully my friend will find something she’ll like. I regret purchasing my coats and jacket 2 weeks ago because right now the store were cutting the price tags down and I would’ve, could’ve, should’ve waited so I can save more money. Oh well, better luck next time. I really love shopping and going to my favorite clothing stores is crazy. Their fashionable clothes are irresistible and made me drool. Well, they’re not only selling clothes but as well as home decors and accessories. That’s where I purchased most of my stuff.

Family first

My husband is the best father in the world. He is a great provider for his family and a loving husband and dad. He loves us and we love him more. He never fails to give us happiness financially, materially, mentally and spiritually. For him, we come first before he does. Boy, am I glad he found me and I married him :D we are the perfect match made in heaven. I really enjoyed it when he has plans for us, especially when it comes to recreational and family activities. He had been working overtime lately and so this week he made sure that we will spend quality time together. We went to SeaWorld and Chuck-e-cheeses. Those days were precious and lots of fun.

I love shopping, that’s my weakness. Usually, I shop clothes for my children, and I. I rarely shop for my husband and I am guilty for that. Whenever I go to my favorite store; I never leave the store empty handed. I always have something to take home. Sometimes, I just want to hide it from my husband because I don’t want him to know that I went out and shop again. I don’t use credit card for shopping though, because I don’t want to worry about debts. In other words, I shop only when I have the money. Anyway, we have a special gathering two weeks from now and I needed some outfits for my family. I bought a black and white plus size dress for myself and cute little dress for my daughter.

I also bought a nice dress shoes from my cousin’s shoe collection that will compliment my dress. It was shipped a few days ago from Tennessee and I can’t wait to see it. When the shoe gets here, we’ll all be set for our spiritual gatherings. My boys have their outfits ready too. Yesterday, I took advantage of the Black Friday’s deals and I was able to save a lot of money. This time, I bought winter shirts for my husband and some jackets for my children. I also bought pairs of shoes for my children. I saved 50 % off from my purchased.

Today my family woke up freezing because of the recent cold weather we've been having. Last night before I put the kids to bed I made sure they were dressed warm with their pajamas but when I went to put my son's pajamas on, his pajamas were too small. He has sweatpants and shirt from the movie "Car's" we bought him a long time ago. He really loves those house clothes but I couldn't button his clothes last night. Poor kid. I woke up this morning telling my husband I wanted to go shopping for some clothes and some new sneakers for my son and a new jacket for my daughter. I told him since my boy needs some new sweatpants, why not drop by one of the shopping malls and pick up a few pairs of boys sweatpants and tops to match.

My husband told me don't get the cheap stuff because he don't like wasting money on cheap clothes that won't last that long. It's like throwing your hard earned money don't the trash can. I know a lot of people like to buy brand name clothing because of the quality and craftsmanship that goes into each piece of article the manufacturer makes. The name also says a lot about who you are as a person. A name that comes to my mind every time me and my family go to the shopping mall is Aeropostale. You can find their clothing name just about every where you go these days. Just out of curiosity, I checked online to see what kind of sale they have on sweats for my kids. Turns out they have a sale on sweats for $10.00 and they are normally $28.00 dollars. That's a steal right now for name brand clothing like this. Just in time for those cold nights we've been experiencing. I'll tell my husband we should buy some clothes online too.

Sick again

We all have colds, mine is worse because I have sinusitis. I really hate this because it’s taking a toll of me. It drags me down and I feel grouchy all the time. I’m not myself when I have sinusitis. I hope this wont last 10 days just like the last time when I had it. How will I ever enjoy our plans tomorrow having this sinusitis? I don’t want to ruin our plans just because of my cold. I need some serious back rub tonight too because my backache is killing me. Hopefully, my husband is not too tired tonight to give me one, I really need it so bad. My husband brought this virus in our household. He was the first one who got this cold, then gave it to my daughter, then passed it on to me and my son. It lingering though; none of us are better yet. Oh boy! Go away virus, you are definitely not welcome in our home.

Whenever we go out in service and I see a filthy yard, it reminds me of the reality TV series show I watch once in awhile called “Hoarders”. I feel so sad that there are people in this world who hoard all kinds of stuff. They don't really care if their house will look like a trashy place. They can’t seem to let go of the things they have accumulated for years because they’re mentally sick. But with the neighbor’s concerns and complaints growing about the filthiness of the house, they send reports to city officials. They came by to check the house and as soon as the filthiness was confirmed, they released an order which forced the owner to clean the place up or else. If the owner won't address the issue, he/she will be put in jail.

The City official sent a group of professionals to help the hoarder get rid of the stuff. Psychologist/Psychiatrist and organizers came to help her along with personnel from Piney Point Village Junk removal team. I think that without the help of the junk removal team, clean-up wouldn't have been possible. Hoarders were interviewed about their hoarding problem, they were asked how did their problem start and their answer was that when they lost their loved ones in death they couldn't get over the fact that they were gone. They even said that collecting stuff replaced the emptiness they had carried inside them. In other words, it made them happy when they collected stuff. However, their issues affected their relationship with their family. It’s really sad.

Boxes were off to Pinas!

Believe it or not, these boxes were in the year of making. LOL! I called the cargo office and they’ve already came by yesterday morning and picked it up. Now, I have to start all over again. I buy all kinds of clearance sales and stuffed them inside the boxes until they’re stuffed with all kinds of stuff. I can’t wait for my family back home to receive what I have for them. They must be so excited now and can’t wait for it to arrive, to open and see the goodies inside those boxes. It’ll take 45 days to get there; I believe it’ll be delivered sometime in February or hopefully late of January. Its fun collecting stuff and toss them inside the box. Counting of the days starts right now!

Horseback riding is one of the recreational adventures that I would like to try one of these days. I have a friend in Minneapolis who is also my former neighbor back home in the Philippines; she shared some photos of her horseback riding adventure with her husband and I thought it was an interesting sports. I haven’t ride on the horses back yet and I would love to try some time soon. At Warner Spring ranch they have horseback riding service and they charge $40 per person and that's an hour ride. They also have pony rides for children, which I think will be perfect for my children.

I was told that if I want to ride a horse I have to make a reservation 7 days before because many people lined up for a ride. I think they provide all the accessories needed for the ride. As far as I know, they have comfortable prestige dressage saddles and prestige horse tack for the rider’s comfort during the tour. By the way, Warner Spring ranch is one of the historical places here in San Diego and I want to take a tour of the places by riding on the horses back. This will be the coolest recreational activity that I will be trying soon. I am so thankful that my friend refer me to the RMN radio station audio stream to listen to "a.k.a Lola Paola” and the gang because according to my friend they will make me laugh. They are so entertaining and they surely brought laughter into my face tonight. What I like about their program is that they value their members and count their opinions. I am so happy as the newest member because I was able to hear them welcoming me in their show. I was totally shock and surprised. I will definitely listen to their program from now on and I will tell my family in the Philippines to turn their radio station to RMN Zamboanga for only an hour 8am-9am (Philippine time) so they can listen to my love and greetings.

Accident insurance or Life insurance?

One of our store creditors phoned us and offered us a very affordable accident insurance plan. At that time when we received the call, we thought it’s best for us to avail it because it’s not only affordable but the claim would be a good amount of money. So, they offered us two months for free and after that they’ll start billing us. We agreed. A few days ago, I checked our credit card account they automatically charged us for 3 months. I told my husband about it and he read the policy, I learned that to be able to qualify for the coverage one of us needs to lose body parts from the accident otherwise we won’t get benefits. Yikes! I was upset. So I told my husband to call insurance company and cancel our account.

My husband called the customer service and told them about our concerns. Then the representative asked us what the reasons why we want to cancel our plan. We told them that we better of getting life insurance because we think it’s more reliable than the accident insurance plan. I don’t know, we could be wrong but we thought we didn’t like the policy. Hopefully we can get life insurance plans as soon as possible because it’s really hard financially when something came up into our family. My husband talked about the family insurance coverage, we will try to see if we can get cheaper life insurance plan.

I was in the middle of my nightmare when all of a sudden I heard our doorbell rang. It was 5:30am and we’re all still sleeping. When I heard the sound of our doorbell, I was so scared and had heart palpitation. Just imagine how quite it is early morning and you can barely hear any noise from the outside and all of a sudden you hear loud annoying doorbell. Your soul will surely jump out of your body. LOL! Well, that’s what at least happened to me this morning. I waited until my husband gets up to open the door to check who it was. Well, it was our Filipino neighbor, they always get up early morning because they go to work and they take the bus because they don’t have any transportation. So, anyway, our neighbor handed my husband a bowl of arroz caldo with calamansi (lemon) and he apologized at the same time for waking us up. It was a nice gesture of them to do that but we’ll be more appreciative if he just waited for a few more hours until he’s sure that we’re all awake. Anyhow, soup was good and filling. Thanks again to my generous and kind neighbor.

When I got a dog I knew it was going to be a lot of work but I had no idea how lonely they get during the day when I’m at work. I feel terrible leaving her crated and since she’s housetrained I just leave her out and about but she still gets bored and starts chewing on the furniture eventually which is obviously not okay. I finally figured out the one thing that calms her down and you’re totally going to laugh: it’s the TV! She loves watching the food network because the people are so close-up to the camera so I went to www.CannonSatellite.com and got us satellite at home so we’d have the channel. Now when I head off to work I just leave the TV on and let her sit there in front of it and she doesn’t seem nearly as anxious when I get home from work which makes me feel like a better dog owner. I missed the delivery

I had been looking forward to receiving the box that my aunt sent me a few days ago; it came all the way from my family in the Philippines. My aunt had her 2 weeks vacation in the Philippines and I asked her if she can do me a favor to bring the goodies that my mom had set aside for me, of course, she said yes. Aunt came back in the United States last week and I was really anticipating for her mailing the box at the post office whenever she can. Unfortunately, yesterday the mailman came by and we weren’t home. I missed the delivery. Now I have to wait ‘till Monday to get it because the post office aren’t open during weekdays.

I finally found a friend that I can consider calling a girlfriend. Well, I have lots of friends and common friends but none of them are close to me personally, they are miles away and we only communicate through a social media website. Anyway, my girlfriend, we both shares the same faith which is great because we can do things together without compromising our faith. She has a year old son and we both have similar marriage story. We get along pretty well, let’s put it that way. We go out together and wander around with our kids, she come to our house for chit-chat while her son plays with my children.

That’s how we get to know more about ourselves and its cool. She mentioned me about their Europe vacation plan and it didn’t happen because of their surprise pregnancy. Next month we will qualify for an upgrade to one of our phone line and my husband said that he will get the iPhone 4 and pass it on to me in exchange to my smarthphone. Why would he do that? Well, he knew that he can damage the iPhone easily if it’s in his hand because of the kind of job that he’s in. Unavoidable aches and pains

I regret abusing myself when I was younger. I didn’t really take care of myself when I was young, I washed my hands and feet even when they’re tired from work. I physically worked so hard not knowing the consequences when I get old. Now that I’m in my 30’s I’m already suffering from the physical abused that I had during my younger years. Sometimes my hands were sore and have some tingling sensation that bothers me most of the time. When it comes to my lower body, my knees and heels are also aching. I can totally relate to my old folks now. I see my parents before having hard time getting up especially when they’re sitting on the floor, they complain from aches and pain a lot. Now, I know how they go through each day from physical agony. My used to be healthy body is already deteriorating and it’s really not good. Each morning I hate to get up because my heels hurt so badly when I put pressure in it. I haven’t seen my physician yet, I will have to get an appointment to see her so I can fix this problem temporarily. Yikes, getting old is hard!

A friend in Calgary

I find myself this afternoon browsing at the website Rent Calgary home. Why? Well, that’s where one of my close friends lives. She was a neighbor, a friend and a former high school classmate of mine. When I found out that one of my friends married a Canadian 10 years ago, I was like “wow”, she was so fortunate in many ways. She said she will. 10 years later, I haven’t heard anything from her until these last few weeks. It was so nice seeing her once again through a social network site. We got an update with each other, I found out that she got divorce but she’s still in Canada. While me, happily married with two children and living a better life here in America.

She said that she bought her dream house in the Philippines and her families are enjoying luxury life now compared to the kind of life that they used to have. Well, I’m so happy for her and her family. She actually invites me over to see her place in Calgary. Well, I would love to see her in the future who knows I can go see her someday. Hmmm, this sure beats what my husband and I am paying. This could be something that would help us reduce our monthly bills. We're paying over $900 a year so this would be nice. I never stop searching for my old friends using the most popular social networking website called “Facebook”. I found some of my long lost friends and as well as those people who I’ve known by face. I’m glad that they've accepted my friendship and they also want to start building the friendship that unfortunately we didn't have before. It’s nice to know and seeing them having their own family, some may think they didn’t have a successful life like we do, but I think they’re still successful in their own ways. Just because you are living abroad doesn’t mean that you are very successful, you know what I mean? But anyway, I recently found my very close friends during my college days, a very good friend of mine told me that she found so and so’s facebook account and she told me to add them as well. I waited for their replies and finally last night we were able to chat. It was so nice exchanging words from them. They reminded me of my college life and it feels good to go back to into those times. I hope we can chat more when they’re not busy with their works.

A luxury watch for my wrist

The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear the word luxury watches is gold watches with diamonds surrounding the face and fancy dials with rare gemstones like ruby's or pearls. I've heard of the most common names of luxury watches like patex philippe, Longines, Bell & Ross, and Rolex but I have never been able to put one on my wrist and flash it around. I think that is reserved for people who earn large sums of money and can afford these kinds of luxury items. I have bought some watches in the past for me and my husband, but it's not something I often buy on a regular basis so when I do buy a watch, I try to stay within a certain budget limit. I would think that if I was to buy a luxury watch, there are some things that I would want to consider before I made my selection.

First of all, who doesn't love the color of gold? There are two kinds of gold that I know of. Yellow gold and white gold. I personally love yellow gold so I would prefer yellow gold as my choice for a luxury watches. Next, I would want to consider the style and sophistication of the watch. I've heard some watches now a days come with an internal GPS and some are water resistant to depths of over 600 feet. Geez, if they could only make a luxury watch with a built in web browser, I'll buy it, whatever the cost especially if it's one of those famous brands. If your going to live, why not live large. Last of all, I would want to consider the size and design of the band. I don't want something heavy weighing my arm down. I think most luxury watches come in some kind of metal design and not leather which is light weight. Whichever watch I would purchase, I'm sure just searching for the right watch would be a task in itself.

Dancing is my passion and when I hit thirty I decided it was time to make it more than just a hobby. I really like being able to work from home and make my own hours but the best part of this job is that I get to do what I love all day long! I think it’s everyone’s dream to be able to meet their favorite Disney characters. We all know that we grow up watching cartoons or Disney movies and we hoped that one day we will see them in person. We know that these are fiction characters only but still we get so excited to see them, we also know that behind these mascots were humans like us, but still we want to touch and hold them. I admit, when we went to Disneyland a few weeks ago I was anxious to see Disney Princess and Mickey mouse. During the Disney parade, I remember I felt like I was a kid again waving at those Disney characters walked by in front of us. They we’re all beautiful and enchanting. My kids were able to meet Peter Pan and Princess Paradise and I took pictures of them.

I went shopping with my son

I rarely go shopping alone or with one of my children, but today, my husband and I had a little disagreement and I told him I need to go somewhere. But before I even left the house we’ve already settled our differences and things were fixed. I just told him that I want to go somewhere and I will take my son which he agreed without question. He didn’t know where I planned to go. I knew that my son would love it because we were taking the bus and trolley. Anyway, we went to shop for clothes and son’s hat. I also went to my favorite shoe store and bought myself a pair of flat shoes. Then we head to our main destination which is the Victoria secret to get my free product and spent the $10 coupon that they gave me. I think my total purchase was $70 but because of the coupons and clearance sale, I paid less than $20 which is amazing. I am a type of person who loves to shop for quality items for less. The last time I made business with Victoria Secret was a few months ago and my total purchase was almost $30 and I paid less than a dollar. I love savings and discounts.

I feel so stressed out at home right now with all the things that’s been going on, so, I decided to take a break and get some fresh air. I left my children in the care of their daddy so I could have some time off by-my-self. I thought beach would be great but I decided to come and visit our local library. So, I’m here right now writing/typing this article. It’s actually my first time here and seems like I’m enjoying it. I got my library card which means I can come back and take some books or movies whenever I want to. Being at the library reminds of me my college days, I used to work at the library as a library students assistant for 4 long years back home in the Philippines. I even asked the lady at the front desk if they’re hiring for some applicants because I want to work here, but they said “nope”. Anyway, I’m using the library computer for an hour and probably I will head home afterwards. I will surely come back here next time with my kids so they will get acquainted with the library. My husband and the kids actually came by here this morning to borrow a Disney movie and I’m sure they’ll return it tomorrow. Library is cool and peaceful. I was able to think, meditate and did a little reading of various publications. Oh well, I have to stop for now and thanks for taking time reading this article.

I know it’s been awhile that I haven’t updated this blog. Being a mother of two is hard and I have to try to get on top of everything. My children are an outdoor type of kids, they love to spend time outside our home and since we don’t have a big place for them to play outside (back or front yard) we usually take them to the park or an amusement park. We’ve been spending a lot of quality time together as a family and we are taking advantage of the vacation that our son has and have fun before he goes back to school. I think these are the best excuse that I can give to all of you who are wondering what I have been up to this days. I just have a busy life at this moment but I will try my best to catch up with my online jobs too. And of course, I miss YOU who put a lot of time and effort to stop by and read my articles. Here's how I made my son's graduation cake

1. After I mixed all the ingredients I placed in the oven, waited for less than 30 minutes. I was anxious because this was my first time to bake a cake. I poked it with a piece of toothpick to make sure that it's cooked inside. Then I refrigerate it.

2. I let it cool for an hour then I started slicing the top to make it a flat surface. I poured the moose creamy chocolate in and placed the other cake on top it as seen in the next photo.

3. Frosting time. Honestly speaking, I had hard time putting the frosting on. My spatula didn't help me at all because it was worn out. I should get a new one huh. Anyway, thanks to my cake equipment for making this cake possible. I was shaking and it's really hard to even the frosting right. It's not perfect but I'm proud of what I made.

4. Decorating the cake is even harder than I thought but it was fun and fulfilling after seeing the finish product as seen in the next photo below.

5. Here's my final presentation of the cake. The day my son had his graduation. He was awestruck when he saw it and a little bit confused because he didn't expect what to do and how to react. Maybe he was also thinking if this could be real and his. LOL!!!

It would be nice if I could continue my experience as a professional care giver here in the states and I would like to further my career by getting some nursing degree at WaldenU.edu online since I don't have the time to enroll at a city university because I must watch my 2 children full time. It would be nice if I could afford to enroll in an online course, that way I could study the courses in my spare time and at my own pace, not like in a real world classroom. One benefit of online education over a traditional university is the ability to study your courses at any time whereas the travel distance to get to a traditional university could be miles away and consume a lot of your time.

Unfortunately, I found out that many medical degrees, degrees related to science and other hands-on related fields are not offered on line because there is no way to gain the real world experience required to obtain the degree. These types of degrees cannot be obtained online. Fortunately, Walden University has many health related degree programs that I can review to see which one would best suit my education goals. I would love to enroll in their school of nursing because it provides real-world skills and I can learn from nationally recognized experts. I've always enjoyed helping sick people to feel better so this course is right where I would want to be in my career.

This show is called Cirque de La Mer and you can watch this at SeaWorld San Diego. Their show is only open during summer and we were so fortunate to be able to watch their first show of the year. It was fun because the show has a story and they picked a person from the audience to be part of the show. Whoever was chosen will have a life time experience. This show is really entertaining and there were acrobats who were also great performers. It’s really fun and definitely lots of people came to watch the performers performed their best talent.

My favorite educational show is Mystery Diagnosis; it comes on Oprah Winfrey Network, which was formally the Discovery Health Channel. I watch this show on www.tvbydirect.com. This show is about patients exhibiting bizarre symptoms and doctors who cannot seem to figure out what is wrong with them. The reason why I like this show so much is because not only do I find it entertaining, but it is also informative. This show taught me that if I feel that a doctor has not given me the right diagnosis, to always get a second opinion. Mystery Diagnosis also showed me that doctors are not perfect and just like everyone else, they are prone to making mistakes.

New episodes of this show aire on the Wednesday nights at 8 p.m.. At that time, one can find me in my home watching this great show. Many people complain about how there is nothing good on television anymore; those people need to check out Mystery Diagnosis. It is not only educational, but engaging and can sometimes leave a person on the edge of his or her seat.

How timely this theme is for me. No doubt I wouldn’t be able to appreciate my mom (parents) for the kind of nurturing that they’ve given us if I didn’t become a mother myself. Whenever I get sick I always think of my mom because she fills the emptiness in me, that’s why I missed her so much. I never really write a letter neither for my mom nor for my father but if I have to write her (them) it’ll have to be like this….

Dear mom,

First of all, I missed you so much. I wanted you to be here with me to witness my pregnancy and labor that I went through with my children but you weren't because you live thousands of miles away from me. I longed and cried for your presence. How I wished you were able to hold my babies when they first came out of this world. I wished you were here when I needed you the most. I wished you were here when I’m sick and when I want the motherly tender loving care. It’s hard to be away from you. Sometimes, when I’m going through rough times in life, I pretend to be strong because you are not here with me and I don’t want my children to see me that I’m weak.
Recently, my family went through a lot of trials and it drained me physically, mentally and emotionally. It hurts me to see my children in pain, when they’re sick for I feel so helpless. Regardless how old your child is, when they’re sick, you want to fix it!! Feeling helpless is horrible... it makes me wanna cry because I don't have you near me! I wish you were here mom, to help me take care of my children when I can’t and be a nana to them. I feel so sad that they never really experienced to have grandparents besides them, or to run to when they’re upset with us (daddy and mommy).

Parenting is the hardest job in this world and I could really use some help from you mom. Sometimes it gets so stressful that I just want to hide and ran away but this is my life. I love my husband and my children, I can’t leave them behind. I can totally say that I can relate you now mom. When we were young, you and dad were so strict to us but now I understand why and that’s because you just want the best for us. Mom (parents) you were right all along. I’m really worried about the welfare of my sister in law because she lives in Texas and they recently had some rain storms where there was major flooding. I’m hoping she is ok. We break the record for this week because we’ve only been to the restaurant twice for we cooked our own meals at home. My husband and I can cook but under circumstance and busiest schedule that we have had for the last few weeks, we pretty much ordered food-to-go every meal or eat at the restaurants. Reconnecting with my former friends

I’m starting to appreciate Facebook now because I am able to reconnect with some of my long lost friends. Friends from high school, I’ve seen their profiles from the batch ’96 graduates’ Facebook page. I am so ecstatic when I saw their pictures. I recognized some of them by face. We traded private messages and I am so happy that they responded. They had several batch-mate reunions that unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend any of them. I’m thousand’s of miles away from my hometown and I can’t just fly whenever I feel like because it involves planning and budget. And so anyway, I hope I can find my closest friends in high school. I can’t remember most of their full names though.

Buying a home

Lately, I've been hearing a lot of news about now is the best time to buy a home even though there's been an increase in the amount of people going into foreclosure but I haven't got the faintest idea where to start on buying a home. Of course we are afraid about all those foreclosure stories. I am about to petition my parents to come here to the united states so that means my husband and I will need to find a larger place to live. Right now we're living in a 2 bedroom apartment but we need to find at least a 3 bedroom apartment or house to accommodate my parents because we also have 2 children. We've been looking around for a home to buy but since we are a first time home buyer , we don't know the process involved to buy our own home.

Buying a house can be one of the biggest decisions we will ever make in our life. We're finding out that it is an incredibly complex process involved and that we need the help of a real estate agent as well as friends. We really need to do our homework on this one. Obviously, one thing that is very important is that you want to have a high credit score and a clean credit report but my husband score is not high enough to get him the loan he want's to have to afford a house. I'm learning that The Federal Housing Administration can help those people who are on low income or have a disability. They offer low down payment loans to qualified borrowers. Nagging calls

Don’t you just hate it when your phone is ringing and when you answer it they’d be looking for so and so that you didn’t even know? I get that kind of calls the first few months we had our new home phone number. Sometimes I get irritated because our phone rang early in the morning and they’d be looking for “CORAZON” whoever that is. One time, I was already upset because I’d be expecting for some important calls then as soon as I answer the phone it’s the same caller looking for the same person. I told the caller to kindly omit our phone number into their lists because the person that they were looking for doesn’t live here. I even asked the caller why they keep on looking for that person and he told me that he is a collector.

I thought, maybe “CORAZON” changed her phone number to stop collection calls from nagging her to pay her debts. That’s why these collectors can no longer trace her because she probably changed her phone number for that reason. I don’t know why people ran from their debts. Why can’t they just settle their financial problem and deal with them so that these collectors will not be like a shadow following them where ever they go? I don’t know I’m just not that kind of person who runs away from debtors.

Midnight is my bed time, sort of

I got used to sleeping midnight already. Ever since my husband worked for the swing shift my sleeping pattern had changed. Normally, I’ll be in bed before 11 o’clock but now, I don’t feel like sleeping when it’s not midnight. This is one of the reasons why I’m having zits on my face again. I hate rubbing on my face because it feels like I'm rubbing on a sandpaper. I hate the bumps, they’re tiny and pointy. I will try to go back to my old sleeping routine that way I will more energy when I wake up in the morning and hopefully I can get rid of my zits naturally. Ok! Enough for this rant. It’s already 10:54 pm, Pacific Time here in America and I’m still up, I should be in bed by now. I need to park and have my beauty rest because it’ll be another long day for us tomorrow. I usually receive an invitation from business seminars that are being held here in San Diego. The last business seminar that my husband and I attended was last year sometime in late November. It was actually a seminar about Online Marketing. It was a dinner invitation. My husband and I were just curious about the meeting agenda and since we were invited; we took advantage of it in hopes that we will gain something and broaden our knowledge about online marketing. My husband and I weren’t aware that the stomach flu has been going on for the past few months here in our place, until we heard it on the local health news yesterday. We learned that most of the local hospitals and clinics were reported to have children who are going through with this kind of virus. Our children have no exemption. They acquired it somewhere that we are not aware of. First, it was my son who had the symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea, a week later my daughter got the same symptoms. Although, they are feeling a little better now, but not quite yet because they still have fever on and off. I think it has something to do with their lingering cough and colds too.

We both took them to their pediatricians; they were prescribed with allergy medications. The following day we brought them to the hospital for second opinion and we were told to just keep them hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids. They said that their sickness doesn't require any medications for it will just go away itself. Anyhow, my son is a meticulous little man and he keeps me bugging on something that he finds so interesting inside the hospital. He was also asking some nurses for some stickers and he had to pick which one he likes. He’s a little bit demanding, don’t you think? Anyway, speaking for nurses, my husband and I were talking about medical scrubs and nursing scrubs uniforms the other day. He knows that I want to work in a medical facility someday and he said that he can’t wait to see me wearing those scrubs uniform. I can’t wait either. Well, whenever that be I think buying scrubs online will be more convenient for me and less of a hassle. What do you think?

Son’s spring break

On Monday 11th will be the first day of spring break and my son will be off to school for two weeks. Tomorrow will be the Earth Day’s at my son’s preschool but I don’t think he can go to school because he’s sick for a few days now. He missed his school for 2 days now and I feel so bad because tomorrow will be the last day of school before the spring break and he probably won’t make it to school because he is not feeling well yet. He has 103.7 F temperature and he’s complaining for stomach upset. I hope he’ll get better soon. My daughter is also sick and I noticed some mucus that builds up on her right eye which is so weird. Is this what they called “pink eye”? Oh my goodness. Anyway, my son’s teacher was already informed about my son’s situation and they want us to keep our son at home for the safety of their student and it’s best for my son to stay home anyway.

We stopped by at the local home depot store to purchase something and while at the counter paying for our stuff, I’ve seen some nice outdoor furniture that was on sale. Accordingly, there were bloggers who were so fortunate to meet up with the rest of the bloggers who attended the said event. Wow! Our clan is really getting bigger each year. My eldest sister is having her second child and she’s expecting a boy; her due date will be July. Now, she has girl and boy. She said that they will name him ALLOVEN ZHIAN. I can’t wait to see my niece and nephews next year. Cousins will finally meet and play with each other, we’re all excited. This will be a grand reunion for my me and my immediate family including my relatives. My parents have 5 grandchildren now, 3 boys and 2 girls. I hope and pray that my sister will have a smooth delivery. As far as I know, it’ll be c-section just like the first one. I hope everything will be alright.

This time and age, many hackers out there are continuously looking for any vulnerable internet users. It’s scary because these hackers are not just an ordinary person who doesn’t have any knowledge in technology. These people must be computer and internet savvy and the worst thing to know is that there is possibility that they could be technology professionals. I’m glad that I have an anti-Virus scanner software that detects any viruses and helped me protect my internet against hackers and spammers. My yahoo account was hacked a year ago and good thing I changed my password before the hacker accessed my yahoo account.

I suspected something fishy at that time when a friend of mine buzzed me and acted so weird. She insisted me to turn my camera on so she can see me and she had me clicked on the link that she sent me, which I did because I trusted her. When I clicked on the link it required me to signed-in to my yahoo account. After I signed-in using the link, she stopped sending messages to me. I was so bothered by it, so I asked some friends.

Later that day, I found out from my friend’s friend that the person who I talked to earlier isn’t the real person that I know of. She told me that her friend’s yahoo account was hacked and was inaccessible for weeks. When I found out about it, I was so scared and I hastily changed my username and password hours later after talking to the hacker. It was close though! That’s why it’s very important for us to protect our internet and identity from hackers, spammers, viruses and melaware by downloading some virus protection software. For virus protection, I know there are free downloadable Virus scan online and take advantage of it because they will surely protect your computer from getting infected with many kinds of online diseases so to speak.

I don't cook all that often, but being stuck inside in all this cold weather has me wanting to be like Martha Stewart and make all kinds of great things to eat. But I guess that makes more sense because people just tend to eat way more when it's cold outside.

To go along with this activity, I've been combing through lots of cooking blogs for ideas about what I should fix next. That's really have of the fun, learning how to cook all these different things. While I was online yesterday, I came across some information about wireless internet companies and after I read through most of it, I decided to switch my internet service over to another one.

I found one for this coconut beef stew that just sounded so weird, yet delicious that I went out and bought the ingredients for it and fixed it right away. At first I wasn't sure what to think about it but then I decided that it's really delicious after all.

Came home early from work

I was in the middle of chatting to my sister back home in the Philippines when all of a sudden I heard somebody is unlocking our door from outside. My heart palpitated like crazy because I have no idea who is unlocking our door. I even said something like “Honey is that you?” but he didn't answer me, I was so scared. First of all, I wasn’t really expecting him to come home that early. It was only 6pm and he usually comes home from work late at night because of his time schedule. But anyway, as soon as he came in I asked what happened. He said that he wasn’t feeling too well so he asked his boss if he could leave early from work.

My husband needs some serious rest peacefully without the kids bothering him . But how can he have that kind of peacefulness when we have two loud kids at home. Gggreeehhh! Wish we can send our kids to a baby sitter whenever we want to without having to worry about paying for the service. Geezzz, everything here is all about money and I just hate it. I wish my parents are here so they can take care of our kids when my husband and I need some rest.

We went to the Park after school

I took my children to the park right after my son got off from school on Friday. My husband and I had a little disagreement at that time and so I decided to pick up my son at school with my daughter without him. I’m glad that my son’s school is just a walking distance. So, we went to the park and I noticed something new at in the area, there were new Picnic Tables and Park Benches around the playground. There were also some guys installing some lights with their company vehicles. The park has really improved compared to the last time I’ve seen it. This park is actually near by the library building and it’s just appropriate for this park to look nicer because many people go there. I’ve also seen some of the guys painting the wall posts at the playground.

I wonder if they were employed to the local Outdoor Site Furnishings Company and who knows, they’re probably the same people whom I’ve seen installing some lights the other day at the park. By the way, speaking of benches and picnic tables; today is the first day of spring and I’m sure many people out there are preparing for their spring and summer recreations. This is the time when most people would likely to go to the beach and hang out with their friends and family. It’s the time when many people would take their Adirondack chairs at the beach to enjoy and take advantage of the beautiful weather.

I have school age and toddler and they are very engaging when it comes to family activity and creative play. They love colorful stuff and they play using they’re imagination. It feels good to see my children getting along so well, that’s when they’re in mood of playing together and not arguing over a toy. I am looking for a versatile and re-usable crafts for them. I don’t know if I will react negatively to the news that my aunt just told me about her life or not because this is something that I didn’t expect from happening again. Well, it’s her personal life and even if I give her the advice that she wanted to hear it’s still her decisions that matters. And besides it’s none of my business if she doesn’t want to take my advice. I just hope that she will make a better decision for her future because her life depends on it. Since she has all kinds of money, it would be nice if she’ll purchase a house so she can settle in a permanent home instead of staying with her friend’s house. That way she can transfer all her personal belongings that she has stored in a storage room for over a year now.

After her husband passed away, all she does is spend her money by going back and forth to the Philippines several times a year and the fact that she doesn’t have a job is really not a good idea. The last time she went to the Philippines, she left her car in her friend’s house. Her female friend offered her a garage to rent so she can keep an eye on my aunt’s car while she’s in the Philippines. Now she’s back from the Philippines and she told me that after her Citizenship interview she’ll fly back to the Philippines to settle some personal issues then accordingly, she might go to Japan with her boyfriend.

Blue Monday - Fishes

I really don’t know what kind of fishes they are but I took photos of them anyways because I know I can use their photos for my Blue Monday entry. They look scary fishes. I took these photos from the aquarium at the Zoo a couple of days ago. Their aquarium is actually right next to the hippos, only the thick glasses that devides them from where they're at. There were all kinds of colorful marine life inside the aquarium but these blue fishes caught my attention the most. First of all, I thought these were tilapias but I guess they’re not. Getting our passport renewed

I checked our individual passport this morning and I realize that two of them need to be renewed because it’ll expire some time in May 2012. I went to the consulate office this morning to inquire about the possible fees that I will be paying for and they said it'll cost me $120 and it’ll take 3 weeks to get here. I was told that I have to do it as soon as possible before the consulate reaches their quotas for passport renewals. I was told that each consulate has allowed renewing 200 passports each year and their deadline will be March 15 or at least before April 2011. She told me, last year there were a lot of people renewing their passport and sometime in February the consulate had already reached the maximum number of passport renewals, so those people who came to their office after February weren’t able to get their passport renewed for that reason. I have to go back tomorrow and get this done so I don’t have to worry about it. I planned on going back to the Philippines for a month vacation early next year, so I can’t put this passport renewal on hold otherwise I'll messed up. I could’ve gone to Los Angeles to get this done but I don’t want to drive up there because the traffic is horrible. I’m also on the process of applying U.S. passport for my daughter. It's too stressful to even think about it, I'll just let everything go with the flow so I will be stress free.

Bummer! We couldn’t make it to Missouri this 2011 for our family vacation.
